De student wijst hier correct op slechte benadering van de normaalverdeling op de observaties. De grafiek is linksscheef, te wijten aan de uitschieters tussen de waarden 130 - 140. 
Voor bijkomend bewijs had de student een QQ-plot kunnen maken, om zeker te zien dat de normaalverdeling hier weinig van toepassing is.

De student nam correcte besluiten en verwoorde deze kort, maar krachtig. Om zijn conclusie toch even te verduidelijken, voeg ik wat bijkomende uitleg toe. Op de grafiek wordt er van de gegevens uit de tijdreeks een histogram opgemaakt. Daarnaast wordt er een normaalcurve getekend. Zo kan er eenvoudig grafisch waargenomen worden of de gegevens van Yt normaal verdeeld zijn. In zo’n geval zal de histogram mooi binnen de normaalcurve liggen. Dit is duidelijk niet zo bij deze tijdreeks. We kunnen met andere woorden besluiten dat normaalverdeling geen goede benadering is voor Yt.

De normaalverdeling is inderdaad een slechte benadering voor yt zoals de student zegt. Het histogram heeft een meer linksscheve verdeling. Als we het histogram vergelijken met de normaalcurve zien we dus duidelijk dat deze niet overeenstemmen en wat er dus op wijst dat de normaalverdeling een slechte benadering is voor yt.

Het antwoord van de student is niet volledig. De bedoeling van deze grafiek is om aan te tonen of de data normaal verdeeld zijn. In dit geval zien we duidelijk dat, dat niet het geval is aangezien de meeste gegevens zich duidelijk rechts bevinden. 
Ook via een normal Q-Q plot zou je dit eventueel kunnen aantonen.

Juiste berekening en goede conclusie. Men kan duidelijk zien dat de gegevens niet normaal verdeeld zijn (zie argumenten van Carole). De student had inderdaad eventueel de normal QQ plot kunnen toevoegen, maar men kan duidelijk uit de histogram afleiden dat de gegevens niet normaal verdeeld zijn dus het was niet noodzakelijk.
