Wegens gekregen feedback zou ik graag deze opmerkingen nog willen toevoegen.

De onderzochte periode begint in juni 2004 en gaat tot mei 2009. Dit zijn 60 periodes (60 maanden).

Wat betreft de bronnen, deze zijn te vinden op de site van de Nationale Bank, zoals ook reeds vermeld.
Onderstaande link geeft de gemiddelde consumptieprijzen weer vanaf 1998 tot en met 2005.

Als laatste zou ik graag willen reageren op een opmerking betreffende de stijging van de grondstofprijzen. Zoals u kan zien is er vanaf periode 40 een stijging. De reden hiervan is dat er vanaf die periode (augustus 2007) er verscheidene oorzaken in werking getreden zijn waardoor de prijsstijging te verantwoorden is. Zo waren er onder meer extreme weersomstandigheden, extra vraag uit Aziatische groeimarkten en ook een kleiner aanbod door de opkomst van de biobrandstoffen, die ertoe leidt dat de voedings- en voederteelten vervangen worden door teelten voor brandstoffen

Dit is gebleken uit een studie van de Organisatie voor Economische Samenwerking en Ontwikkeling (OESO) en de Voedsel- en landbouworganisatie van de Verenigde Naties (FAO).
