De diagonaal van de Kendall Tau matrix geeft het histogram weer van elke data serie. De bovenste helft van de matrix bevat de scatterplots voor iedere combinatie van ieder koppel in de serie. In de onderste helft van de matrix zijn nummers weergegeven die de p-waarde van de correlatie uitdrukken. Voor iedere scatterplot bovenaan is er een overeenkomstige p-waarde. De naam van iedere variabele is weergegeven op de diagonaal.
Deze vraag werd goed opgelost. Al wat ik hieraan kan toevoegen is:
Hoe groter de p-waarde, hoe slechter de correlatie en hoe hoger de kans op toeval.

De student geeft een zeer goede verklaring. Het Kendall Tau plot stelt op de diagonaal de variabelen voor. Onder de diagonaal de probabiliteitswaarde of de P-waarde. Dit is de kans dat het voorkomen te wijten is aan toeval. Daarom moet het getal zo klein mogelijk zijn. Boven de diagonaal wordt een grafische voorstelling gegeven van de correlatie.
