Wat we nog kunnen opmerken uit de berekening van de box plot is dat de waarden significant! verschillen. De inkepingen in de boxplots stellen het betrouwbaarheidsinterval voor. Wanneer we de grenzen van de inkeping doortrekken is het duidelijk dat deze elkaar niet overlappen. De waarden zijn dus significant verschillend van elkaar. Bovendien kunnen we opmerken dat de kledingtrend dalend is omdat, tegenover het basisjaar, de mediaan onder de 100 ligt. Totale productie is bijgevolg licht gestegen.

Je conclusie mag nog uitgebreider zijn. Je bevestigt enkel de waarnemingen van de student van vorig jaar.

Bij deze berekening wordt een correcte grafiek weergegeven. Bij x2 (kledij) is er inderdaad een daling tov. het jaar dat als basis geldt. De industriële productie daarentegen is wel lichtjes gestegen tov. het basisjaar.

Net zoals 1 van de vorige studenten zegt is het van belang te vermelden dat de mediaan significant lager ligt dan de mediaan van de totale productie.

Hier moet je kijken naar de inkepingen (notches) van de boxpots. De inkepingen zijn de betrouwbaarheidsintervallen. Als deze nog steeds onder die van de totale productie liggen kunnen we zeggen dat de totale productie significant hoger ligt dan de kledingproductie.
