Ook hier werd de juiste methode gebruikt. (starplot) de lengte van de assen bepaald of de auto veel van dit kenmerk heeft of niet. Dankzij de star plot kunnen we catogorieën onderscheiden. Zo lijken vb star plot 1,2,10,11, en 30 idd sterk op elkaar. De student onderscheidt echter geen categorieën en lost de vraag bijgevolg maar half op.

Er kunnen verschillende categoriën ontdekt worden. De Honda Civic, Toyota Corolla, Fiat X 1-9 en Porsche914-2 vertonen vergelijkbare kenmerken. Ook de MazdaRX4, MazdaRX4 wag, Merc 280 en Merc 280C vormen een groep. Verder lijken Merc450SE, Merc450SL en Merc450SCl sterk op mekaar en ook Merc230,Merc280 en Merc280C. Als laatste heb je nog de LincolnConten en de ChryslerImp. Je kan deze ontdekken door de gelijkvormigheid van de figuren
