Aangezien de mediaan en de mid-range heel dicht bij elkaar liggen, kunnen we concluderen dat er weinig extreme waarden zijn. Dit is ook te zien op de grafiek van de winsorized mean. Nemen we de weinige extreme waarden weg, dan bekomen we een mooie stijgende rechte, de trimmed mean.
